22nd Sunday After Pentecost

Prayer of the Day

Lord God of wisdom, who is enthroned in the heavens, you have mercy on us, even when we do not deserve it. Grant that we may remember that you are our salvation, even in the midst of our troubles. All this we ask through your Son,  Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Eucharistic Prayer

O God of wisdom and strength,  you are our dwelling place in all generations, sending your peoples help and leaders  in all our times of  trouble–Deborah, David, Cyrus, and, our greatest help, Jesus. He came among humanity, healing the sick and uplifting the outcast.

In the night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take and eat! This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.

Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this in remembrance of me.

Through Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are saved. As often as we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim Christ’s death until he comes again in glory.

Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

Send down your Holy Spirit, O Lord, upon these gifts and upon your people, that we may be ready when the time of the Lord is at hand. All this we ask through your Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in unity with the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

Throughout all time and space the glorious, great multitude bears witness to God enthroned and to the Lamb. Therefore with with angel and archangels, the church on Earth and the hosts of heaven, we praise your name and join in their unending hymn:

Prayer of the Day

O God of all creation, who provided water in the wilderness and has provided for humanity throughout all time, we do not always do as we are asked. Grant us faith, strength, and courage to do what is asked of us, even when it is difficult. All this we ask through your Son,  Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

O God of wonder and might, who led the Israelites through the wilderness and caused streams to spring from rocks, you are with us always, even to the point of taking on humanity and living among us, giving us living water.

Tenth Sunday After Pentecost

Prayer of the Day

O God, our rock and stronghold, who gathers us together from all the ends of the earth, grant us your grace to seek justice and do what is right, even when it is difficult. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Eucharistic Prayer

O God, our strength and our deliverance, throughout history you have cared for all who seem other–the outcast, the foreigner, the disobedient–and have gathered them all together, judging all the nations with equity.

Prayer of the Day

O God of all creation, through your son Jesus Christ you give us rest from our heavy burdens. Grant us the grace to take your yoke on ourselves and learn from you. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Eucharistic Prayer

Holy, mighty, and merciful Lord, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Throughout all time, you have demonstrated your love for us through your blessings. You blessed Isaac and Rebekah, and you bless us, even though we do not always act as we wish or as we should.
